計畫書: 「The one-page description (not exceeding 500 words) should provide an overview of the program, including its activities, constituency, and contribution to society.」

計分：要寫計畫書、要到場、要交作品各 2 分；要自籌、文件 8 項以上、流程 10 步以上各 1 分（計畫書 10 章以上、自籌一半以上再加 1 分）。1 分以下輕鬆，2–4 分要準備，5 分以上大工程。

申請資格

給透過教育對紀實攝影有重大貢獻的計畫，不給個人。計畫要已經運作至少一年。教學以外，研究、出版、典藏、線上資源、展覽、社群傳播也可以，但要是為了教育目的。獎助不能用來拍攝或製作照片（那是 Smith Grant 與學生獎助的事）。美國以外的申請歡迎，除非法律禁止。同一個組織可以為不同計畫提好幾件。報名費是自由捐款 25 美元。
